Xtreme had all 10 teams playing at The Grind tournament this past weekend facing top clubs from across the country. The Grind is one of the largest and most competitive tournaments in the Nation, averaging well over fifty teams per age bracket. Pools for each age bracket are formed based on level of play ratings. All Xtreme teams 2022 and younger and all Xtreme Red high school age teams competed in the highest rated A level pools for their age. In those games against the best of the best, Xtreme went a combined 15 - 12 - 1. Our ability to compete succesfully with the best clubs and our clear recognition as representing the top caliber of play from Central PA has made Xtreme a well known name amongst clubs nationally and with college coaches of all levels.
Both our 2025/26 and 2020 White teams won their pools and advanced to Championship games! Xtreme 25/26 has had an outstanding summer going 10 -2 -1 so far and winning one Championship at Project 120 and advancing to the Championship game in their other two tournaments! Our 2022s continued their succesful summer going 3 and 1 in an elite pool and lost a close game to Ultimate's top PA team to just miss the playoffs. They were Champions of the 2022 divsion at The Roundup earlier this summer and also were runner ups in the Mid-Atlantic Spring League. Our 2019 Red team went 3 and 1 with a one goal loss to perenial PA power PA Express Orange. Despite several key injuries, 2019 Red finished their final summer of play vs top competition with a 11 and 1 record!
Seven Xtreme teams will finish up the summer season this weekend at Best of the Beach in New Jersey and The Surge in Delaware. Tryout info for next year will be posted on our website this week. Thanks Xtremers for all your fine efforts this summer!
Congrats to the 14 Xtremers and all the players who made the US Lacrosse Central PA National Tournament team! Event info is HERE. Good luck to all the players representing Central PA in the tournament. Roster below, Xtreme players in Red
Below is a list of upcoming College Clinics. All schools use clinics as an opportunity to evaluate play as part of the recruiting process. For high school players, attending clinics at a school you are interested in is a great way to be seen and for you to see the school / campus and get a feel for the lacrosse environment there. Thanks Mark Weissend for the list!
Note that schools add clinics not always far in advance so check the websites of schools you are interested in regularly to see if a clinic has been added.
The Inter Collegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association recently released a video with detailed info on the college recruting process. See the link to Video below.
